Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These terms cover your use of Secor. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
Who you are agreeing with
Secor is operated by Dact Software LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. When these terms say “we” or “us”, they mean that company — it is the party you are contracting with, and the party any obligation here runs to. Reach us at support@secor.co.
What the service does
You connect your Stripe account with read-only access. We watch for failed recurring charges, contact the affected customers by email and — where you have their consent — SMS, asking them to update their payment method. They pay on Stripe’s own hosted page, directly into your account.
What we are not
- Not a debt collector. We notify customers that a card failed. We do not pursue debts, report to credit bureaus, or take any collection action.
- Not a payment processor or money transmitter. Funds move directly from your customer to you. We never hold, route, or have the ability to move your money.
- Not affiliated with Stripe. Secor is an independent service, not endorsed by or sponsored by Stripe.
Fees
A flat monthly fee, banded on your own recurring revenue. No setup fee, no contract term, and no percentage of what we recover.
- Under $10,000 a month in recurring revenue — free
- $10,000 to $30,000 — $49 per month
- $30,000 to $100,000 — $99 per month
- Above $100,000 — $199 per month
Your recurring revenue is read from your Stripe account, so the band is a measurement rather than a negotiation. If you grow past a band we move you up, and we require a clear margin over the boundary before doing so — you will not be moved back and forth by an ordinary fluctuation. If your revenue falls, you move down immediately.
The fee is never a share of recovered money. Charging a percentage would mean every invoice turns into an argument about which recoveries were ours and which Stripe’s own retry logic would have made anyway. You shouldn’t have to audit a bill to trust it.
We still show you the split. Your statement separates the recoveries we caused — where the customer opened our link, or paid on a different card than the one that failed — from the ones Stripe handled alone. That is reporting, not billing: the price is the same either way.
Fees are charged monthly to the card you keep on file with us.
What you agree to
- Consent. You confirm you have the necessary consent to contact your customers at the email addresses and phone numbers in your billing system, and that those details were given to you by those customers. This matters most for SMS. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from contact details you provide without that consent.
- Accuracy. The contact information you connect is current and belongs to real customers of your business.
- Authority. You are authorised to connect the Stripe account you connect.
What we agree to
- Read-only access, never more. You can revoke it from your Stripe dashboard at any time without telling us.
- No promotional content in any message we send to your customers — purely notice of a failed payment.
- Immediate, permanent honouring of every opt-out.
- Stopping the moment a payment clears.
- A complete log of every message sent on your behalf, visible to you.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your dashboard, or by revoking our access in Stripe. Either stops all processing immediately. You are billed for recoveries made before cancellation and nothing after.
Availability
We aim for continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We depend on Stripe, our email and SMS providers, and our hosting; an outage at any of them can delay recovery attempts.
Liability
Recovery outcomes vary and we do not guarantee any particular recovery rate. Figures on our website are published industry benchmarks, not promises about your account. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes go out by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and continuing to use Secor after that means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
